Yeah mate they were at 168. IIRC his last losses @ 160 were to Winky in 05, Joval in 01 and Eastman in 00.
broner boiled down to fight smaller guys, something ggg's getting crucified for even suggesting to challenge for the greatest prize in the sport.
I have no problem with GGG fighting soliman. I just think that we shouldn't be talking about GGG in the same class as the top fighters like ward, FMJ, pacman and lara or even the second tier like canelo, cotto, bradley and garcia... Wins over geale, stevens, macklin and probably soliman are not gonna convince me or anybody else about GGG.
lara! how funny. you are the guy that posted you were impressed with russell but not loma after their fight, though.
Soliman is full of it, he claimed that the only fight he wants next is the winner of GGG v Geale, claimed he had knocked back lucrative offers because he only wants big fights and this is the one he wants. Even went on to say he wont fight his mandatory until 2015 and wants GGG first. Now that GGG's people want to make it happen and he seen the ass kicking Geale got, he is back peddling and claiming he has a fight in USA this yr and wont be available to fight GGG until April 2015. What happen to all these lucrative offers he was knocking back while he was waiting to call out the winner of GGG v Geale. Sam is just using GGGs name to boost the hype, we may never see Soliman fight GGG, if Soliman was a man of his word and serious about what he said regarding GGG, he would drop this fight he claims to have in USA and fight GGG in November.
Has any Aussie journalist asked him who the hell he's even supposed to be fighting in the last quarter of 2014? Shot Taylor? Mora? He doesn't have a mandatory yet, that'll be Stevens or N'Dam after they fight.
Soliman always has been, and always will be someone who fights anyone, anywhere. Absolutely no ducking going on- it sounds like he just got a better offer, less risky, that he couldn't refuse. Who can blame him for taking it.
