Surly with all the hype in america and all the millions of Mexican PPV numbers it could do on prime time in America and the americans pay silly money for PPV, outweighs a packed MEN and the £15 a PPV the few people on this rock we call Britain pay.... Dont get me wrong though Froch - GGG is the fight i want to see more than any other
Froch doesn't easily fill a stadium I'm afraid. The only reason that they managed a stadium fight last time out was because people thought he would get beaten. He is back to arena shows now, O2, MEN, Echo etc.
not really creating a mountain outr of a mole hole lampley suggested he might be scared but kellerman was quick to suggest froch might hvae just been talking about the way he would fight him
froch would take the fight if the money was right as frooch takes every cha;;enge that is their aslong as he s paid well anyway ggg is another pavlik , remember him great record lots of flashy kos then bang schooled by a proper pro who had been in with the very very best
Seriously? not a Froch fan then lol, Easily fill a stadium maybe not a wembley twice a year but a normal stadium easily, at this moment in British boxing if he can't fill one no-one can.
Carl Froch v Mikael Kessler sold out the 02 in only 11 minutes, he then sold out Groves fight at MEN in an hour or so, then Wembley in 1 hour. Carl Froch could get 50,000 plus anywhere in the UK for his next fight, regardless if he was fighting his postman ! The reason the guy is super popular and famous amongst non boxing fans, on at least a level with Benn, Eubank, Bruno, Hatton (maybe more so because of social media these days). He is in the top 5 most popular/famous British Sportsmen/women at the moment
Eddie Hearn said Froch was being tongue in check with comments about GGG, and if the money was right of course he would fight him. He don't think it will happen as money is not there, as HBO don't think its a ppv fight (it should be, but if that's their decision it means their is not nearly the same money compared to a Chavez fight). So in reality Froch would earn 6-8m for Chavez, and maybe 2-3m for GGG, no brainer what one you would take. As a boxing fan I would rather he fought GGG, but I am a realist.
It was tongue in cheek without a doubt ,, Froch would'nt go down like the others , and GGG is definetly there to be hit , Froch is a bigger man with a big dig ,, good chance he would stop GGG .. Anyway the facts are , although no one has come close to beating him GGG has'nt excatly fought the elite because the elite are not there , he's a good fighter in a bad bunch . Lets have it right Geale commonwealth standard ,, Solliman current holder of a version , yet 10-15 years ago he got beat when he was in his prime every time he stepped up , now he's got a facking belt . GGG has not excatly been beating the likes of Oscar or Hopkins , Trinidad , or pacman or mayweather , true great fighters in there respective divisions , he's had a good run but a relativly easy one ,, much like the heavyweight scene at the moment ,, its packed with commonwealth and european level fighters not real world class , . Froch by Ko in the fantasy fight that will never happen , , really Froch would ko geale inside 2 .
Froch did say he would duck GGG, it's true. Froch's best ever win is still just about beating a shot version of Kessler by the skin of his teeth to make it 1-1 between them. That version of Kessler is close to a decade past his best. No wonder the media created hype job Froch wants no part of GGG. Imagine if Froch wasn't british, nobody would care about his 'achievements' at all.
spot on assesment...!it looks like HBO want froch and GGG though...but they used froch as an example of a warrior speaking the truth.
HBO confirmed to Eddie Hearn that GGG v Froch is not payperview with them, Froch v Chvez is, so more money for Chavez fight then
