Jones took John Ruiz's best punches, does GGG hit harder? As much as I like GGG, James Toney and Bernard Hopkins were not just better, but TEN MILES better than anyone he's fought. Frank Tate, Reggie Johnson, Montel Griffith and Jorge Castro were better than Geale or Curtis Stevens.
Yes, the current Roy has one of the worst chins in the sport.. But, prime Roy? Not even close to one of the worst chins in boxing history.

If GGG unifies he passes Jones at Middleweight. Beating a green Hopkins in 1993 doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

RJJ has a glass jaw. GGG has one of the best power @ 160 in the history of the sport. RJJ was juiced to the gills and was caught cheating. all facts.

His last ko was in December of 1999, yes 3.5 years, BUT HE ONLY HAD 4 FIGHTS. Three against a hall-of Famer (Holyfield) one against a very good heavyweight, Kirk Johnson. Before that he had 6 KOs in a row against the type of opposition GGG has fought, except bigger. Castro was a very tough world Jr. Middleweight Champion with a 70-3 record who bulked up to cruiserweight (at 5'9) and went 10 with Juan Carlos Gomez, and 12 with Vassily Jirov IN THEIR PRIMES. The guy ended up with 130 wins and 11 losses, but somehow he was "awful." When Jones fought the "green" Hopkins, he had had 21 fights, Bernard had had ....23! and Bernard didn't lose again for 12 years. You didn't even mention Toney.

Listing Light Heavyweights and Super Middleweights to compare to what GGG is doing at Middleweight. Even then Jones was a Super Middleweight even less time than he was at Middleweight and we have a sample size of 7 fights to judge before he went to Light Heavyweight and won some trinket meaningless belts while avoiding THE champion and #1 fighter in the division....there is a pattern here.
The fight was a bad sparring session. There were several rounds where Jones either threw or landed in the single digits in punches but he was coming at Ruiz? :roflatsch
Roy by stoppage, those hooks would be just too much for GGG. I might add I think Roy beats everybody ever at 160, Hagler, Robinson, Leonard , Hearns, everybody.
