Like why is unfathomable to say that Klitschko, Mayweather, Ward, Golovkin, and others that cemented their legacy in this era can't beat any of the past greats?

It's because the old farts seem to think older athletes were the best, which is ridiculous. There are exceptions like Bobby Orr, Oscar Robertson, etc. But Ali would get raped by Wlad. Robinson would get raped by Floyd or Pac. etc etc etc

Tbf in 2006 Floyd was being already compared to the greats

After cotto and Dlh manny (8 div champ fighter of the decade) is now also in that league

I think by the time both guys retire they will be both ahead of the fab 4

Ali would be beaten by both Klitschkos, and Robinson was beaten not quite raped by LaMotta Fullmer and Basilio, so Floyd Manny Sergio and Golovkin would have had a chance.

In all fairness he beat lamotta four times he beat him once

And lamotta outweighed him at the weigh in but about 15 pounds I think

Yeah I know but he beat him once, it counts, and the fifth fight was heavily disputed

Still he outweighed him by a stone

If may weather faught ggg and floyd weighed in at 144 and ggg at 160 do you not think that would give ggg a ridiculously big advantage?

Because in many fans minds athletes get better in hockey, baseball, football, basketball,
swimming, track etc etc, EXCEPT boxing.. It's people holding on to Nostalgia for those who over exaggerate past fighters of today..

He only outweighed him by 4 and a half pounds

There was two clear weight classes between lamotta and Robinson at the weigh in

And are people using the fact that Robinson faught guys way bigger than himself at the weigh in because he wanted a challenge against him now? The man went from lightweight to light heavyweight becUse he wanted challenges
I think every boxing fan wishes fighters today had that attitude

Fight night after rehydrating Antonio came in 165 to Manny 148, 17 pounds, 4 and a half at the official weigh in.
It was almost a WW fighting a SMW
