Did anyone else notice the long 1st round on GGG vs. geale

NY commision is awful:

Ringside photographer allowed to have his camera strap INSIDE THE RING to trip up a guy.

Four-minute round.

Perez penalized a point to cost him the fight in the last round without prior warning.

NY boxing officials are completely inept.

 

First the HBO camera man tried to snare Geale's legs so Golovkin could get a free shot, but Geale saw what was up and fell before G could get the shot in.
Then they extended the clock hoping G would get extra time to get a 1st round KO.

LOL. HBO is blatant with they ****!

there was a heavyweight fight howard cosell called that had a round go longer than 3 minutes but i still can't remember which it was.

hbo isn't affiliated with that cameraman. i would imagine the new york state boxing commission is in charge of the timekeeper. cry to them about it.

if i had been the timekeeper and had a huge bet on a 1st round ko, i would've let it go for 5 minutes. even better i would've thrown the bell hammer at jim lampley's head and just waited until triple G knocked geale out.

I noticed there was no clock at the bottom of the screen to indicate the time left in the round. I even hit the aspect button on my remote because I thought the picture was zoomed in to where the clock was cut off.

The time thing and the camera strap were just bad luck for Geale, nothing more. He laughed it off in the post fight presser and just copped it. Next.

 

If not for the camera strap incident disrupting my concentration, I might've noticed the 4 minute round. But I'll admit that I didn't realize how long the round went until they mentioned it in the broadcast. As to whether the extra minute, somehow adversely affected Geale, that, I don't really know.
