Who Gives Mayweather the tougher fight?

I say neither has any real shot at victory and both should feel like they achieved a whole lot if they take 4 rounds from the champ

That said my opinion might change if Floyd vs Maidana 2 goes about the same as the first and Floyd struggles mightily again. Watching Floyd cut and covering up in round 4 was about as vulnerable as I have ever seen him I think I felt he was in more danger than he was vs Mosley. I'm too young to remember the Castillo fight, may not have seen it live but vs Maidana, it was the only Floyd fight going to the cards I felt he may not have won

That said and back to the thread topic

Bradley- He is one of my favorite active guys. Lots of heart lots of grit and an athletic and versatile style thats difficult to characterize. He doesnt excel in any particular area but is well rounded and balanced and extremely athletic. He does one thing well and that is win and overcome big obstacles...Which made it so difficult to watch him toss the Pacquiao rematch down the drain despite leading he started taunting away that damn fight

I thought after "winning" vs Manny and dominating Marquez that he was the next in line for Floyd.. I never felt he ever could win but I think he could be interesting. He has a good and fast jab, good body punching and a varied style where he can brawl inside or counter and move on the outside

that said because he doesnt excel in a category its hard to see a very good guy with no great skills beat a great fighter like Floyd. I could see him be very difficult for a time and make the early going close and tough to score but by round 5 or 6 Floyd will show the difference in class

Khan is a fighter I used to be a fan of but the whole Petersen fight fall out and pre and post Garcia made me think he is a punk. But lately on camera he has seemed bearable. Rooted against him vs Collazo and felt his clinch filled fight was atrocious

In ways I agree with Paulie that Khan has a round and point accumulation style. He blends foot and hand speed and activity to overwhelm guys with his speed and rack up points. However I dont think he is a complete enough fighter to do this vs Floyd

Inside vs Collazo all he could do was hold, vs Petersen all he did was stick out a forearm and push and get penalized. Whats he gonna do when Floyd gets inside? Khan also gets timed and countered especially by left hooks, one of Floyds best punches

Khan also cannot fight 12 rounds in a difficult fight...Petersen wore him down and made him work and he definitely wilted and slowed down the stretch. Vs Maidana he piled up an early lead and then lost the last few rounds and made it tight on the cards. Vs Collazo he took off rounds vs a fighter he was dominating and lost a few here and there

He tends to just circle the ring and never fight inside and hope that his opponents dont get inside this tends to also keep his activity level low in certain rounds

Like I said neither beats Floyd

 

Khan's speed and reach will give Mayweather problems. Bradley would be a punching bag.

 

I think Khan would lose to Bradley, but i think Khan is a harder fight for Floyd

Not checked Khans reach but assume he has a decent reach, and hes got an ok Jab too. A quick, decent Jab is something Floyd doesn't like.

Height, speed, early work rate would cause problems for Floyd, but not to the point that Floyd would lose.

Speed would be hard to overcome initially

 

Khan is the harder styles match up.

Khans speed would bother Mayweather, and i think Khan can do more than Bradley. but i do feel Mayweather can knock Khan out though. Would be interesting to watch. :think

 

I've always thought if both Khan and Bradley fought every Welterweight in the top 25 Bradley would beat more of them, however if they faced each other Khan would win.

I envisage Khan being tougher for Mayweather while it last, but Bradley is almost guaranteed to see the final bell but Khan- not so much (although if I would guess he actually does see it)

 

Bradley, but Khan would give him a fair fight until his chin let him down.

They BOTH can give Floyd tough fights .

Neither fighter gasses and have decent speed of their own .

I will slightly lean towards Bradley though because hes mentally stronger and has a way better chin and throws more punches .
