Come on Denis..... It's been six months since you got humiliated b/c you were fat and outaa shape and beat down for 10 rds vs a fringe contender. Time to get back to the gym, put your Universum troubles behind ya and et back to 2010 form. I'm somehting of a hater, but when Wilder is getting a shot with far lower LOC.......and that's not a praise to you, but it's pretty f/n pathetic that you pissed away your talents. Get in the gym and on the track....back to 225-230 and back to crushing the Bahtovs and Gaverns for a yr, then onto a showdown with Glaskov. thumbsup:thumbsup
That guy is pathetic. How does a guy like that get into major fights? How does he get such a good record? The guy proves all that is wrong about boxing, shitty fighter gets pampered by his locals and then politically negotiated into the arms of some corrupt promoter that continues to try to hype him and then when he faces someone who's only halfway decent he loses. The problem with boxing is that it's become too much of an entertainment industry while losing it's standing as a real sport. Wladimir the World Heavyweight Chumpion only fights losers and ducks the top contenders. Floyd Mayweather the sports P4P #1 guy has ducked his #1 challanger for almost a decade. Germany won the FIFA World Cup this year, if they just decide to not show up for the next one will they then keep their world championship? The San Antonio Spurs are now the NBA champions of basketball, would they keep their NBA championship if started cherry picking shitty teams to play against while saying no to strong teams? Boxing needs to become a sport again instead of being this thing that has P4P #1 Duckers.
Universum had him fighting in gymnasiums. Also..... Ive been hard on Boytsov in the past for not taking tough fights. GBP was copromoting him in the US and had an HBO deal for him in 08. About that time, they were also looking to sign David Rodriguez, and it was their idea to get Boystov and Rodriguez together in Vegas. Rodriguez was stoked for the fight, but Denis backed out, and Universums cashcow went back to the journeyman circuit. Rodriguez progressed no quicker, but he was attempting to make bigger fights before the attempt on his life and his subsequent self destruction. Don't want to make this about Rodriguez....he's done. He was Bute'd by Ding and his confidence is shot, and at 36, he's not likely to rebuild...... Boystov however is only 28.....and while he's had a loss, it was to a solid B level fighter who has held his own with several other B level fighters in his career. If Boytsov wants to fight on, Im certain a move to the US, and signing with Main Events or Hitz Promotions would be a huge boost to his career. Both smallish promoters have several solid HWs and links to networks. Signing with Duva or Peltz could get him onto NBC and then HBO, and signing with Hitz could get him on FNF and open the door to resigning with GBP and getting on FS1 or Showtime. At 28 he's still got a lot of room to improve, and his skill level is up there considering his size. His hand injuries are behind him, and I reckon it's just a matter of his regaining his drive to train and get into fighting shape while taking short stacks for a few bouts. I'd tip him to beat Scott and Adamek still. And he'd do well vs USS and KO Monsour. Just hate to see talent go out the door due to lack of motivation/promotional issues. :-(
When you don't train, and party all the time that can happen. Boystov on his best night deals with Leapai inside 6 rounds :deal
