There isn't a fighter on earth that will look good fighting hopkins, even in winning against hopkins it will never be pretty.

You gotta have supernatural athletic abilities like RJJ to do that. One thing I noticed Is that when Bhop fought RJJ, he was the aggressor and RJJ was playing the role of the counter puncher as he was the one fighting as he backstepped.

BHOP's difficult style is that same deal, walking around moving and not getting hit and throwing that right when you're most vulnerable. When you're walking your opponent down, your defensive ability decreases. If you're the one walking away and letting your opponent come to you your defensive ability increases. It takes extreme physical talent to be able to walk your opponents down AND be defensively aware like a cat, this is something that supernatural fighters like Roy Jones and Calzaghe did. Trust me Joe didn't look pretty but i was impressed with what he did. It is HARD to be defensively and offensively aware SIMULTANEOUSLY when you're the fighter playing the role as the aggressor, people don't know this because they've never fought themselves pretty much.

This is what seperates a talented fighter from a super talented fighter, guys like Calzaghe... Mijares... Gamboa..etc can operate offense and defense at the same time!

That's a damned good point. It's one reason (among dozens) that Calzaghe - Hopkins didn't turn into Casa - Katsidis with stances reversed.

Calzaghe's first fight at 175 and his first fight in US. Hopkins fought in his own hometown.

Rematch in Wales would be in order.

After watching his 'tactics' in that fight, who the hell is going to want to go watch him again??? They wouldn't fill a four-man tent, nevermind the Millenium Stadium.

Sorry but 'Borenard' has come to the end of the line.

****....Bhop wouldn't fill the stadium but Joe would. He is a legend now in his home town and on his way to being a true boxing legend. Joe can sell any fight in his home town...a rematch with Hopkins would sell in the UK .....maybe not anywhere in the US aside from the Philly streets where Hopkins actually grew up.

Wait.... Calzaghe is young now?

Anyways, you are right - Joe got excellent exposure by beating a "legend" in front of a worldwide audience.

Fantastic exposure! He is now a household name. :happy

I was referring to Taylor with the youth comment.

And yes, Joes does have worldwide exposure, thanks to the lovely gift he received from HBO this weekend.
