Uh... no dickhead, Tszyu lost to Hatton by the time Floyd fought Gatti and retired. Gatti had a WBC belt and Floyd went for it and took it. It's pretty much that simple.

Cotto and Floyd are very smart businessmen. Floyd is not fighting nobody ranked in the WW division. That a fact. He is resting on his fame and his nut huggers. Cotto is not rushing things and talking crap. He is cleaning the division. If he is succesfull in his plan he will have two or three WW belt on his waist by the time he fights Floyd. And a lot more fan than he has now.(he has lots of fan now). Those belts and Floyd fame as the such called P4P king will GUARANTEED MANY, MANY, MANY MILLIONS for both of them. Is a risky plan because there is always the chance Cotto might lose against MArgarito. I don't see that happening but is possible. If Cotto gets Margarito belt and beat the winner of Quintana/Williams rematch. Will make AT LEAST twice the money than fighting FLoyd now. Plus, the money he will make in the process will be great too. Another possibility is Floyd might decide to fight the Quintana/Williams winner and then each of them will have 2 WW belts. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT???????? The whole world would be watching a fight like that. The millions will be flying!!!

 

A Gatti fight made a hell of ALOT more sense than a Gomez fight

mayweather in espn already stated that to fight cotto he needs to build up a "fan base" because he's not in floyd's level.

but i do agree mayweather would kill cotto in less than 12 rounds.

 

Why anybody has to mention Gatti ???? Gatti was never an elite boxer. I am talking about boxing skills here. Of course the man had a huge heart and made awesome battles that kept people at the edge of their sits. But he lacked skills. You just watch him against Gomez or Baldomir. I know some people will come with the age excuse. But Mosley is older then Gatti. And I am sure Mosley can beat Baldomir and Gomez any day.

 

I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see it, however Oscar called HIM for the rematch NOT the other way around. If Oscar called you to make 20 mill or whatever the hell Floyd makes i'm pretty sure YOU, yes el gallito would fight Oscar also And a rematch with Hatton WON'T happen.
