How Would Bernard Hopkin's Do In Big Knockout Boxing?

Why the heck would bhop choose to do that?

 

I don't see him participating in such a thing for various reasons and how he'd do there is hard to say but my guess is he'd lose against the best guys.

 

Didn't Jason Gavern win this thing a few years ago? Briggs would win no problem lol......

 

Hopkins has never been a good knockout artist. Hopkins plans to retired after the Kovalev fight, esp. if he loses.........................which he probably will, although the judges, referee will be for Hopkins and try to help him out, but I doubt if it will do any good................

they tried the same thing with kickboxing, trying to dumb it down into a super aggressive throwdown in a circular pit, "world combat league" i think it was called

For those boxing fans who like action, this setup seems like it would really deliver.

As far as Hopkins, he is such a master, I am sure he could adapt and succeed. The only issue at this point might be his age, but he might still be able to overcome this.

 

Pretty cool and all, but most of these guys are low level tomato cans. That doesn't mean it can't bring excitement....

 

As a hard core fan, I've always loved an exciting fight between two decent journeymen, or even tomato cans.

Take Vinnie Maddalone. The dude isn't anywhere near a top level boxer, but he always seems to get in good slugfests. If he wasn't pushing 40, I'd say he'd be perfect for this gig.

 

He'd probably do pretty well.. Jason Gavern won this thing last year or something, he's at about the same level as Maddalone. I agree fully though, nothing like two hard hitting journeyman with glass jaws going at it!
