I'm a Ward fan but he has nobody but himself to blame for his situation. While I understand and even admire his reasons for taking a moral stand and taking Goosen to court some of the things he's said during this period of inactivity have been damning. When he said he doesn't need to chase fights it comes across as arrogant and also as him lacking drive to excel in his career. Look at Hopkins 49 and chasing fights with Stevenson and Kovalev. Hopkins doesn't posture or preen like some diva he simply wants to get paid and fight the best he can.
Hahahahha but you and everyone else demand that GGG step up to 168 for a "real challenge" !! Ward ducks Kovalev and GGG like the plague . "but what if i win doe? ill still get no respect"
Ward is primarily a TV sports pundit these days, not a boxer. He is at best a part time boxer. He can't expect to be taken seriously when he is SO inactive.
Kovalev only re-hydrated up to 185 on fight night. Ward probably weighs MORE than that on fight night.
The same Hopkins who thought he deserved a 50/50 split and have Roy Jones come down to a catchweight to rematch a fight he (Hopkins) clearly lost? Ward's stance is very much like what a younger BHop did for huge stretches of his career.
