If Hopkins is such a warrior, why did he fake an injury to get out of a fight?

I’m about as big a Hopkins fan as you will find, and I thought for sure he was faking/milking/bluffing down there. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. But whatever the case, I’m sure that someone decided that if Hopkins goes down, he stays down. Had it been Julio Cesar Chavez Junior rolling around on the canvas down there, they would have air-lifted his ass out of the ring on a C-130 and sent his opponent to death row! Let’s be real, here.

 

He's not the best actor in the world is he? Like the Calzaghe low blow ****, the look on his face was a bit dramatic. As for why he did it? Rematch? Another payday? I dunno. If he sees anything he can take advantage of he fcuking takes it with both hands.

Hopkins is more of an "anything to win" guy than a warrior, but to his credit he's still fighting and wealthy at 50 when most boxers are homeless or scrubbing bags in a gym.

 

acting like a warrior in the ring at top lvl in your 40s can get you killed.

 

How do you know the injury was faked, do you have his medical records or is this just YOUR opinion? You know opinion isn't fact right?

If the injury was faked, why did he chase the rematch? Why did Dawson and his manager explicitly say they didn't want a rematch? Wouldn't this have been a perfect way out of not having a rematch with Dawson blaming it on him for the rematch not being made?

He's actually a better fighter, now than he was when that fight did happen.
