Seriously, Canelo's 155 Weight Stipulation is Gayness Traveling @ Warp Speed!

Here's the thing, it's different from draining a guy. He's asking to be able to come in a pound over, the opponent can do whatever they want, 154, 53. Allowing a guy to weigh a pound over is not the same as asking a guy to come down in weight. There's no demand on the opponent, he can weigh what he wants.

That isn't as bad as asking people to come down I agree... But I think when your last 2 fights are at 155 you should move up.

 

The only reason Canelo has come in at 155 is bcause his last two bout were non title fights, I believe you can be 1/.5 lb over in just a regular fight if Canelo goes for the Andrade-Lara winner for the WBO Belt or Molina for the IBF Belt it'll be at 154.

When Thomas Hearns jumped up from 160 to challenge Dennis Andries for his WBC light heavyweight title, he didnt ask the champion to meet him at some 171 pound catch weight bulls.hit. he jumped up 15 pounds as a challenger and took the title from him. These ass clowns today are a bunch babies wanting everything handed to them

 

You can't cherry pick your arguments. SRL is from the same era as Hearns. He won his LHW title at a max weight of 168 pounds. Fighters from today are no different from their predecessors.

Not at all b/c he's a big MW and should move up, but rather b/c they secretly want Floyds legacy to increase b/c he has wins over both Canelo and Cotto, so he by default a MW titlist.

I thought Canelo came in at 155 because he rightly did not want to pay the WBA a sanctioning few for a fake worthless title belt that Lara was given when he was elevated from cough cough "Interim Champ". Wish more fighters would begin ignoring the WBA as it is far away the most pathetic org in boxing.
