Bute beat Johnson worse than ANYONE before or after. Regardless of age, he still won 5 rds from Froch in the previous fight and beat Green more decisively that Ward as well.

Bute also made 11 IBF title defenses vs several who had WON eliminators vs other Blevel contenders.


Bute made a HUGE mistake going to Nottingham for the most crucial fight of his career. It was IN HIS EYES when he was on the platform when they were announcing him. He bottled it, or it is more commonly refered to after 5-25-11 and Bute'd it.

He froze and lost the fight before he entered the ring. Carl Froch wins a fight by TKO and he's seeing a shrink for 5 months to get over the early troubles. Bute gets blasted out like a club fighter, and he still hasnt sought help. :huh

I've given him (Ward) some stick recently, some brought upon himself, some frustartion at 'Boxing INC' in general. One thing I will say though is that this man embodies everything that is wrong with boxing as a sport/business. Dedication and genuine talent, rotted away in to absolutely ****-all. A sad figure he cuts, that's no remark on him as a person but I need to see him fight like I need a hole in the head.
