Lee is a crap opponent for GGG because styles make fights and while Lee is a very good long range technical boxer, his chin and durablility are bad and ggg would easily beat him

i think lee-cotto is a great fight and i see it being a 35-65 fight in cottos favour

GGG did far more than Miguel to earn a shot at Sergio.

And the only reason that Cotto is still mentioned in MW circles is that Sergio's knees were both shot, as was clear from almost the opening bell.

'Earn' has nothing to do with it. The reason Cotto is not facing GGG is that he would like to parlay his good fortune of having a MW belt a little further financially, so GGG is out of the question as this would be as near to a certain loss as one might get in boxing at this level.

Likewise, he would be the underdog against Canelo (who I believe he will face when cashing out eventually).

So he needs a bankable and viable MW opponent that can generate some $$$ but be reasonably safe.

Unfortunately for him, I don't think Lee is as winnable as most think. In my book, Lee would be the favourite against Cotto at 160.

Lee, while being no match for GGG, is clearly at or close to top 10 MW.
