Hopkins irritated with Kellerman when questioned about Kovalev fight

Seeing as so many think Bhop will school kovalev, I don't want to hear after the fight how Bhop was old and it's not a good win for kovalev (if he does win)

 

As much as this should happen it won't , all we will hear is 50 year old Hopkins lasted x number of rounds with kovalev , prime Hopkins would have schooled him

Unless kovalev knocks him out in round 1 we will hear this

 

if ko4clev kos him then of course its a good win, not just good its great - who has KOed Hopkins ever.

iof he struggles horrible to a life and death split dec then its a crap one, he shouldnt be like that against a 50 year old no matter who he is.

truth is, bhop aint schooling automatically anyone now. hes got plenty of losses in his fading years that disagree.

Bhops is very crafty, very ring smart, admired many hardcore fans, but Kov is different than most of the well matched opponents that had made him great. His accomplishents at 175 FOR HIS AGE are admirable, but not something Kov couldn't match. He's not a limited one dimensional come forward fighter he can actually box. Bhops wants to take him into deep waters late in the fight, but Kov is good enough to catch him early. I don't mean like a clean punch, but Bhops is very prone to getting injured, like in the Dawson fight, Kov is a hothead himself and overpower or tackle Bhops Kov is not a dumbass.

 

What an arrogant piece of work. Kellerman did nothing wrong.

I partially agree with this, tho Bhops a living legend, Kov is a different type of come forward fighter, this ain't no Kelly Pavlik. As wily and experienced as Bhops is, he's got a shortfuse and I'm willing to bet Kov is going to **** talk him like no one before. I gotta agree Crusher has underrated boxing skills too. He's not just a headhunter. I see this a 50-50 fight. I have seen Kov somewhat gas alittle late in a fight I forgot who it was, but looked abit sloppy, I'm sure that got Bhops attention. I give Bhops slight edge in winning, but it'll have to be a perfect fight. Bhops SD12 Kovalev, but won't be easy

I did notice that Hopkins appeared uncomfortable standing beside Kovalev. Hopkins was almost actually forced into fighting Kovalev because of the lawsuit, which would have hurt him, because of Stevenson pricing himself out, as Hopkins wanted a huge payday, then Kovalev accepted taking a small payday for fighting Hopkins, Hopkins gets two thirds of the money for that fight, all Kovalev wants is to win the titles, he can make big money in his next fight after that. If Kovalev beats Hopkins, which I think he will, he will either fight Pascal or Stevenson next, "IF" Stevenson will fight him. Stevenson does want to fight Ward, but Ward does not want to fight Stevenson, not even at 168. I repeat this over and over again so as to not allow the Ward lovers to forget that Ward ran from Stevenson, even at 168................Ward does have a big fight at 168 if he wants it, but he does not want it............

 

Kellerman did nothing wrong and Hopkins already started marketing his upcoming fight against Kovalev, nothing to see here.

I understand Hopkins' frustration with what Kellerman said. While it is and incredible feat that Hopkins can beat a fighter of Kovalev's caliber at his old age, Hopkins felt that Kellerman was trying to make a story that wasn't. Hopkins doesn't feel like an underdog nor does it seem like he will accept anyone thinking of him that way. Of course he overreacted.
