Kovalev could be the man to KO Hopkins Father Time gas got to catch Hopkins at some point

 

This consideration is given to boxer who are hype way too often. Sad part is even if he owns hopkin he will still have to prove himself because the excuses will go non stop

Kovalev will stop Hopkins, however, Hopkins will probably hire ref Count Dracula to disqualify Kovalev in the first round for punching Hopkins in the face, Hopkins will have his judges also, but I think Hopkins will insist on having his personal referee to keep Kovalev off him. If we get a fair ref, Hopkins will get knocked out..............

 

Hopkins has been in with bangers before. Kovalev's resume leaves a lot to be desired in terms of durable opposition. Campillo flew in the night before the fight, and wasn't knocked out, it was a ref stoppage. Sillakh doesn't have a chin. White, was hot garbage. The Chicago kid was green and started crying after being jabbed in the gut. Caparello, was garbage. As far as I am concerned, Hopkins is the more known commodity against top level opposition. Kovalev has fought bums, stiffs, over the hills contenders, green up and comers, and other guys who had no business even being ranked in the top ten. If he handles Hopkins, or at least gives him a tough fight, I will be a believer. Kovalev hasn't fought a Pascal, or Cloud type of guy yet though. He has fought guys with no chins, or no heart.

Hopkins lost to Jones, Taylor, Calzaghe, Dawson, etc., they could not punch like Kovalev, but Kovalev can box also. Kovalev by knockout!!!

 

Kovalev isn't some sloppy brawler. He can punch with either hand, has good punch selection, and goes to the body well. The idea that he can't hurt Bernard is absurd. Kovalev isn't Shumenov.

 

Massive respect to Hopkins, and it still feels odd to pick against him, but he hasn't beaten anyone decent since Pascal, which was what, 3 years ago? Lost to Chad, beat Shumenov, Murat and Cloud - Campillos cast offs.

Don't get me wrong, I ain't writing BHops off - I never will. But in Kovalev he's facing a different level of opponent. I just see him being too much at this point for Hopkins.
