The LHW is really getting some improvements since a lot of Olympians stepped up to pro's after the Olympics: Gold Medal Winner : Egor Mekhontsev 4(4)-0 Bronze Medalist: Yamaguchi Falcao 2(1)-0 Oleksandr Gvozdyk (2(1)-0 Others: Marcus Browne 12(9)-0 Damien Hooper 9(8 )-0 Enrico Koelling 14(4)-0 Also Artur Beterbiev, who competed in CW at London 2012, but now is 4(4)-0 as pro and competing against Tavoris Cloud in September. Who do you think can become the next World Champion? I think Beterbiev/Mekhontsev have a big chance, but also Marcus Browne (who showed his skills again last night) is a huge talent.
I'd rank them like this 1.beterbeiv 2.gvodsyk 3.mekhontsev You have to remember to that joe ward and julio de la cruz still have to turn pro and they could be the best out of the lot. 175 is going to be the most talented division in boxing
You're correct. He competed in the LHW division in the Olympics but because of the differnce in divions he new fights in the MW in the pro's
Na. He's bigger & more powerful but Gvozdyk is a better boxer & will be a better pro Bump this thread in a couple of years with your 154th alt account
id say there boxing skills are similar, but beterbeiv as you said is bigger ,stronger and p4p already one of the hardest punchers in boxing. Gvodsyk can outboxed too its not like his a master boxer il be happy to bump it il be proven right
It's just too early to say. We need to see these dudes tested, I can see flaws in them all which may be exploited if they don't adjust properly. Mekh, Beter, Gvoz are v.good fighters we'll see.
I think hooper is a very good prospect too but probebly a level below these guys You still have de la cruz, ward and the Kazakh in the am's , 175 is going to be stacked
