I so hope brook comes good. Like many posters I thought he was very bright eliminating the british competition, kind of stagnated with fw and then looking bad vs Carson Jones. Now Its make or break. He has so much to lose if he fails.

    Come on Brook!

This feels like a massive fight for me! You usually know when one of our guys goes to the state's what's going to happen Brian rose etc....

But brook clearly has something classy about him but I'm not sure if he's good enough to beat porter?

As long as brook shows up and puts in a performance win or lose a close fight I think he has a massive future!

    Massive fight for both fighter.

In Porter you have a strong Tyson esc fighter with the style to excite and become the next biggest American star after Floyd.

In Brook you have a very skillful boxer with the potential to become Englands next biggest Boxer after Froch and Khan.

The verdicts out on the potential of both boxers and the winner is the legitimate candidate for Floyd.

I believe Brook to win as you'll realize just how much bigger he will be on fight night, that advantage alone will help against Porters power....its either Porter gets reckless and gets caught flush or Brook on pts.

Talking about the technical aspects of the fight, can any of the more knowledgable posters on here tell me if Porter has any other real methods to beat Brook other than catching him with hooks?

It's years since I've been in the ring admittedly but common sense tells me that with height, weight, reach and skill advantages, I think the fight is Brook's for the taking; I mean as far as trading jabs and straight right hands surely Brook will get the better of these exchanges?

Can anyone with some real technical knowledge break the fight down for me please?

One thing Porter does well he comes in then out making you think hes going to attack when hes not.
So then when he eventually does lunge in you're not really ready for it.
I do admit his hooks are wild and may not land at first but Brook's defense is dodgy if he leans back and catches a hook whilst leaning back it will be over.

Let's put it this way Kell needs to keep the fight at range then he has a chance to win on points or even late stoppage.

The main thing here is Kell has never fought at this level before so some questions are hard to answer as he never really been in a real tough fight apart from Carson 1 and in that Kell had fitness and gamelan problems. If Kell can keep this at range for most of the fight without getting hurt he can win on paper.

Kell dont wanna be caught on the ropes upright with his back straight and chin in the air that made for Porter to jump on.

I feel Porter's pressure on Kell will wear him down and Porter will close the range and hurt and Ko Kell that's my take.

Brook needs to hit and move in the center, beat porter to the punch, and catch him lunging in as he looks so open when he does this.
It wouldn't suprise me if brook gets cut from a porter headbutt plus I don't like the fact that senchenko who was badly beaten and gassed managed to wobble brook in there last round, bit worrying?
I really hope brook is on top of his game and can get into his groove box smart and win on points, he's a real talent but the prep in picking last few opponents from Hearn has been awful, nevermind, it's now his time to shine!

Reallyexcited for this if Kell wins this will go down as one of the best wins for a british fighter as many expect Kell to lose and lose by knockout.
