Dmitry has been improving at a fast pace since signing with the Russian promoter.

He was nearly ruined by his former promoter who kept him inactive for long periods of time.

I first saw him against Mendy and he looked very limited but he has improved so much since then, I think the middleweight division is slowly getting a bit better.

GGG no but he has the WBA interm belt and fights with guys like Jacobs, Lemieux, Johnson could be fun and competitive.

He's a tough kid and a big puncher, though he was more amongst the second tier of the Russian Ams (though TBF so was Kovalev and political decisions certainly effected the Russian Am landscape anyway).

I see him as still being rather scrappy and his actual boxing skills lag behind his willingness as a fighter... but, the kids a pretty solid fighter and can really bang.

As for Golovkin... I don't think so - Chudinov's a warrior for sure, but would simply be outskilled. I'm not sure how much further he can progress in the pro ranks, but I'm interested in the potential WBA matchup between Chudinov and Jacobs.

Jacobs is the slicker fighter of the two, but Dmitry will close and trade, and I'm not yet convinced Jacobs is prepared for that kind of pressure. In theory this fight should be Danny Js first mando, and I'm very interested in the outcome - both are potentially top end MWs, and neither would have faced a similar test before.

yeah, jacobs vs chudinov would be an interesting fight.
hope quillin vs korobov gets made
lemieux, murray, saunders & rubio should mix it up with each other too.

Too soon to tell let him fight a few closer to top tier guys and have his chin tested then I can give you a better assessment.

Looks like Korobov is gonna be stepped aside by Quillin so he can fight Jacobs.

But they've only got 8 days to make a deal, but Im certain that Gaymon has had a deal made under the table since well before Korobov won his eliminator, and Jacobs won his minor title.

Sad that none of these WBA titlists want to fight the WBA champion.:-:)-:)-(

I wouldn't count on that. Chudinov is a bit sloppy, but when he hits guys they stay hit. The guy's more of a terrier than anything else and a good spoiler or a good defensive technician might be able to make him look foolish, but I don't think Gabe's your guy - he gets dragged into battles far too easily.

And hell... what kind of superstar are you to be calling any pro fighter a 'bum'?
