He may not appear to be the most gifted fighter in the division... nonetheless, he's having a pretty good career, beating some decent names and winning belts on the way.

I do feel Herrera won, and deserved a rematch though.

Despite that, I can't say I hate Garcia. In fact, I don't find his fights that appealing to dedicate so much energy towards him.

I think he takes Peterson, and am hoping for a rematch with Khan at 147.

It's not about what Garcia did previously, although there are plenty who attacked him then. The reason the critics are coming out of the woodwork is that the tried to sell this farce as legit. Not even the alphabet orgs would have it.

People forget that Herrera was supposed to be the soft touch. Didn't go according to plan. Lucky to escape with a win.

They took it to utterly preposterous lengths to ensure that didn't happen again.

No chance - correct decision from the judges, Garcia definitely won that fight.

He's talking about Judah vs Matthysse.

Yeah 100% Garcia was rightly given the decision in the matthysse fight but I meant that matthysse deserved the decision against Judah, which he didn't get.

I'm from Philadelphia and I don't like him. I think he got lucky against Khan, then refused to give Khan the rematch. Morales and Judah wins at this point of their careers are almost meaningless. He lost to Herrera imo. and Lucas is overrated as hell.

So basically the only thing of note on his resume is connecting with a hook on glass jawed Khan in the midst of getting schooled and beating another overhyped latino.

Garcia's one of my favourite modern fighters.
Crowd pleasing, aggressive style, big puncher, willing to box the best.
Great counterpuncher, there's nothing lucky about those looping left hooks.
I can see why lots of people thought he lost vs hererra but all hererra did was jab, grab, and spoil.
Garcia was forcing the fight and was clearly landing the better quality shots, no matter what the commentators were saying. boxing (thankfully) isn't scored on work rate. Quality wins out.
you (again thankfully) cant take a champions title by jab and grab tactics.
His win over mathysse was brilliant and I love mathysse.
Which other modern boxers, (roy jones, mayweather, calzaghe) ever had the balls to get in with a pure ko puncher at the top of his game like mathysse?
Plus his dad is funny too
    what more dyou want?

I don't understand this. Why should he give Khan the rematch? The ONLY person that deserves a rematch is Herrera.

He isn't even that hated tbh. People are just kicking off about the salka fight.

If he fights and beats Peterson next all will be forgiven.

The Morales rematch was warranted given how close the fight was imo. Not giving a legend a rematch in a close fight would be worthy of criticism.

and yet he gave 40 yr old Morales a rematch the very next fight.....
Honestly he doesn't have to give Khan a rematch, it's just that Khans profile is big enough that most would agree that a rematch would have been better than fighting Morales again or Judah or Salka.
