GGG was scheduled to fight FOUR times in 2014, although one was scrapped due to the unexpected death of his father. It's easier to justify a tune-up when you take on the best available in the other contests. I say best available because Cotto, Quillin, and Martinez don't appear interested in fighting Golovkin.

The big difference is that GGG isn't relying on a network to subsidize a tune-up. When he takes on Ishida and Adama, he'll take his show on the road and not rely on premium network subscribers to make his money. My grievance with Garcia/Salka, besides the risk to fighter safety, is that Garcia makes $700,000 when the subscribers' money could be better spent on competitive fights.

    Who?

C'mon - that's way outta line - Lujan's #87 @WW, Golovkin would have to challenge himself against WW #77, the unbeaten Glenn Foot to match DSGs achievement.

There is no reason to compare Golovkin and Garcia.
