This is the worst year in boxing I can remember for a long time

    2013 looked promising and was a great year.

    This year has been terrible. Top fighters fighting much inferior comp, the anticipated fights mostly ended up being total duds, just a bad bad year. Now we are even seeing SHo and GBP put together just embarassingly terrible Top Rank type cards.

    Not a lot to look forward to the rest of the year either... aside from Hopkins - Kovalev.

    Not really interested in:
    Crawford - Beltran
    Floyd- Maidana
    Pac-Algieri
    Broner - Taylor
    Ward - Goosen
    Mikey Garcia - Top Rank
    Amir Khan - No one, cuz he only fights once a year now

    None of these fights are interesting and 2 are PPV!!

    Maybe Canelo Kirkland can be a little Spark Plug...if it gets made

    It is much better than the last 5-6 years. But you have to look at the lower weights, unless you are a ignorant heavyweight-fan.

    Yeah, we have a number of terrific fights thus far.

    Yaegashi-Gonzalez and Estrada-Segura have the potential to be terrific, too.

    I'm looking forward to Brook-Porter and Hopkins-Kovalev. Can't really remember my other highly anticipated fights. Pac-Brad II was highly anticipated but turned out to be lackluster because Bradley gassed out in round 4.

    Floyd's fight was better than the 2 he had last year, maybe the rematch will be good as well.

    It was advertised as being Floyd's hardest fight, he barley lost a round, i know for sure i enjoyed Maidana's effort much more. Canelo didn't perform, as he said he froze up.

    So ,So not the best ,I think once Pac and Mayweather retire things will pick up. Fighting these guys its like major retire money so everyone just taking it easy hoping for that one shot to get paid.

    Well, Get comfortable guys because there's Alot more mismatches to come from Alan Haymon, Eric Gomez and Espinoza unless people start boycotting fast




    Psssh... Didn't oscar say better fights are coming after Richard left because I've yet to see it

    How to salvage 2014

    Hopkins vs Kovalev isnt a dud
    Broner fights again in December against Maidana
    Garcia vs PEDerson is a fire fight
    GGG vs Quillin/Jacobs/Canelo/Cotto happens (we will get Macklin :( )
    Stevenson vs Pascall
    Santacruz vs Rigo
    Mathysse vs Khan- Winner gets a rematch with the winner of Garcia Peterson
    and the big one that would salvage this year in boxing:

    THURMAN VS PORTER
    ^^^^^That is THE fight

    Also get Wylder fighting someone with a pulse to end the year with some American Heavyweight hope and you salvage the **** out of 2014
