Totally agree, there have been the few who could shift from all out aggression and combo throwing to steady, tactical 'classic' boxing. Knowing when it's best to take risks is a the prime characteristis of many entertaining and well remembered fighters......some names? Sugar Ray, Ali, Ray Len, Froch, Haye....many others past and present.

His skills seemed so standard but he still he was very flashy in his own way. When he threw his punches they look ed slowed but heavy like a dump truck. His punches landed like a truck too, with full on, text book smash.

The way he skipped outside of great fighters reach, turn one direction, turn another, countered, and started the process over and over again. I can imagine him winning a round without throwing a punch.

This little guy would box guys out and then go in for the kill. I watched him trade with Alexis Arguello banging his body up round after round. Alexis was luck to have the power with him that night or he was going.

The Ability to land punishing Body punches, and to throw combinations with accuracy.

Julio Ceasar Chavez comes to mind.

McCallum's coolness on midrange, even against faster and more powerful fighters. The many ways he could slip and counter, switching to head and body. Just poetry in motion. An ATG technician with a brawlers mentality. His first priority when hit is to retaliate, not retreat.

But I almost get the same kick out of watching his footwork, how he effortlessly switches angles, never backing in straight lines, which makes him elusive despite not being remotely fast.
