I hope this is legit. Two fighters that I'd love to see back in action. And respect to Kessler for continuing to face the best, even now that he's past his best. A true warrior.
A win over Kessler in Denmark and Froch in England would make Ward P4P Number 1. Would Floyd beat Pacquiao in the Phillipines? No chance.
About time Ward tried fighting abroad as a pro. Will add to his resume, legacy and the fans will see him as more approachable and willing to do what it takes. Clinching is part of Ward's game but he also timed KEssler in their first fight. When Kessler was settling to punch Ward would either move or stick KEssler to disrupt him. Kessler was always playing catch up and could never settle in time to throw his punch. sOme boxers like MAyweather and Ward can box on the move. Transition seamlessly between offence and defence. In fact there often seems to be hardly any transition. If Kessler has not learnt to cope with this and added this unique skill to his own arsenal then ward will be able to bamboozle him again.
MVC!, I have the same issue with fight s where I support both fighters. I have it with Kell BRook and Shawnee POrter. Both good for the sport as they are young, fresh, exciting and seemingly good role models. On a recent run I stumbled across a thought that has helped me. I don't need to take sides, it kills me when my fVourite fighter loses as I have vicariously lived the days leading up to their fight! What I realised was that this is sport at its purest when we literally see who is the best competitor; let the best man win. You shakehands , do your best and take pride in whatever the outcome. As long as no ones health is damaged then they can shake hands afterwards and life carries on. Compete as hard as you can, remember that life continues afterwards. This is why so many people who do extraordinary things are steeped in the importance of love, their family and friends and God.
I thought Kessler's biggest problem in the first fight was that Ward was completely controlling him on the inside. Kessler looked like he'd never seen inside game before. He would just wrap his arms around Ward and expect Ward to stop punching, which, obviously, Ward wouldn't. Kessler just looked baffled on the inside all night, although I'm sure the butts didn't help. If Kessler works on his inside game and on moving his head more as he comes in behind his jab, I think he as much a chance to beat Ward as anyone else in the division. Good fight, really hope it happens.
ward should be ahead of mayweather anyway as mayweather not nesasily the best his division, if ward did this he would certaintly be ahead
Looks like this was a BS thread and has been deleted. Highly doubtful this is happneing, no sense in getting worked up, people. There is nothing remotely official. I'm not buying a Danish tabloid.
