Did Morales fight Maidana with his custom gloves?

Maidana and Morales where wearing Winning Gloves.

Can't post the picture but if you go to Google images of their fight it is clear to see the brand they are wearing.

The gloves Maidana was looking to wear against Floyd where Everlast MX gloves.

Don't like the fact that Floyd made Maidana wear a different pair of gloves but Morales likely did also.

 

Maidana's gloves were custom in so much as that they appeared to have much of the padding removed around the knuckle area. Nothing to do with brand.

 

blue one was custom, red was commercially available.

The first pair wasn't. Tit for tat. You're only focusing on Floyd "overriding" the commission and not Maidana's gloves that the commission ruled invalid.

Because he can. He didn't feel as though even the approved gloves had proper padding. If you're fighting a guy and you personally feel that he's using improper equipment and you have the clout to do something about it, why wouldn't you?
