I think it is going to be a fun fight and should have at least one KD. I don't think a win legitimizes either guy but I think one more noteworthy win establishes that guy as a legit top Welter. Honestly I have only seen one of Kells fights and 5 of Porters so I can't really make a prediction here.
Kell is going to surprise a lot of people in the way he wins. The guys hes been sparring were shocked at his skill level and timing, Mayweather timing with serious power.
Even though almost everyone is completely overlooking Brook like he's a tomato can, I'm fully expecting and prepared to see a 50/50 fight where anything is possible. People in general know what Porter brings to the table yet very few know what Brook could bring because he never proved it at the top level which adds mystery to his game plan and ability. While Porter has power and aggression, Brook is VERY durable and resilient. I will be genuinely shocked if this ends in a one-sided blowout for either fighter.
This will be the first time I watch him live. I didn't get a lot from watching the Senchenko fight. Brook looks like he has the Shane Mosley defense of using reflexes. Shane was light years faster than Kell appears to be. Should be fun.
Kell Brook is going to do the chicken dance with the first flush shot Porter lands on his glass dome, possibly knocked out cold. Porter hits a helluva lot harder than Carson Jones, and Jones made Brook do the chicken dance with a temple shot. :rofl
I wouldn't expect Brook to show up against Porter, which is by far his biggest fight, like he did against Jones.
By all accounts Brook is coming in very focused for this fight. If Porter doesn't do the same it'll be a big mistake and could easily cost him this fight. That being said, I expect Porter to be too rough and tumble for Brook. Porter will use the inside game and push Brook around, and I don't expect him to have the answers. I'm expecting a decent fight though. Either late stoppage or mid range UD.
