If Maidana and Alexander were to fight again, who do you see taking it?

Maidana UD12 Alexander. Both were strong career 140lbers, but the Maidana Alexander fought was neither the nonstop, aggressive machine with no jab that Ortiz or Khan fought nor was he the current, jab oriented, smart pressure fighter Broner and Mayweather went to hell and back with. I don't think it'd be easy for Chino, but he's as strong mentally as he is physically and I think Alexander would clearly find out this isnt the easy to hit, confused looking Maidana from their first encounter. Maidana looked like he couldn't pull the trigger vs a shot Morales too, helping El Terrible turn back the clock and take Chino to school as he did to Swift.

Alexander by shut out. I say this without hesitation.

    Alexander's style completely neutralizes Maidana.

Alexander has his number , It might be a little more competitive but thats about it when a fighter has your number and has you already figured out .

The result will always be the same .

This. Garcia has worked wonders with Maidana.

I'd fancy Maidana to win at this stage, he's gotten better since he first fight and Alexander seems to have got worse.

This is not accurate. Maidana has almost always been aggressive and a non stop style fighter. He threw 1200 punches against Kotelnik ffs!!!! If that isn't nonstop then I don't know what is. He threw 1000 against Morales. 300 against Ortiz in 5 rounds and threw a ton in the Corley fight.

Devon moved and a limited Maidana couldn't deal. Very different from the flat footed Broner Maidana tooled.

Garcia is no miracle worker... Devon beats him again.

I don't think the work Garcia has put into Maidana will be quite good enough... I don't think he'd get shut out again though. Alexander's style is much different than Broner or Floyd. Although he has some of the same attributes he fights a bit differently which could make the difference.

I think it's wrong to assume because he fought so well against Floyd and broner that it will be the same against devon. Broner and Floyd were flat footed almost the whole time, devon is smarter than that and confuse chino again. I love chino but he gets way too much credit for beating broner who was overhyped and barely beat ponce.
