Round 1

Shafikov is ducking and blocking the jab of Nagaev while moving left. Shafikov is sticking his right jab on the chest of Nagaev stepping in, then resuming his circling pattern. 1-2 up top by Shafikov, dodged as Nagaev puts his weight on his back foot to sway backward. Shafikov doubles a right jab diving in and shooting up from below Nagaev's lazy left jab, and hooks off the jab for good measure landing behind the ear.

Round 2

Shafikov is covering up and blocking Nagaev's long jab and straight flurries as they circle at mid-range. Shafikov is circling rapidly and working in southpaw 1-2s and counter lefts, occasionally doubling up on the latter as he reaches up and grazes Nagaev's chin, scoring with higher accuracy despite Nagaev setting the higher work rate.

Round 3

Shafikov is ducking in close, upper body pitched forward, staying under Nagaev's busy unfurling-tentacle jab, throwing right hooks and looping lefts to bang either side of Nagaev's jaw with quick bursts of counters, two at once before slinking outside in a low crouch again. Shafikov is repeating the pattern with great success, always firing inside from underneath and landing well. Nagaev starts to pump a 1-2, mostly sailing over Shafikov's back. Nagaev steps back and keeps his arms thrusting out, touching Shafikov a bit more but still eating counters.
