Calzaghe vs GGG at 168 who you got?

Calzaghe fight GGG ??????? You gotta be joking. Slappy Joe tried to back out of the Lacy fighr claiming "injury" but it was really fear that Lacy would hurt him. Enzo had to kick his ass & MAKE him fight. He'd never get in there with GGG

 

in their primes, Joe against current prime GGG has enough in the tank to get up from a knockdown and narrowly outpoint GGG. Golovkin may go onto display greater h2h ability than joe but hes not done it yet. And figuring in a natural weight advantage for Joe, who is a big SMW.

He would have to take the fight in Wales though, no way he can guarantee a win without some ref protection. Joe would also need a real reason to take the fight, he does not normally take on a very good opponentfor fear of losing his zero.

If GGG continues to KO top fighters then you have to give him the edge, since Joes chin wasn't infallible, and outside Wales in particular treble G might well make Joe another good boy.

I assume you mean at SMW, not exactly at 168.


This fight would never have happened however. Neither man would have wanted a loss from it.

i see your ******ed, Calzaghe before he had basically career ending hand problems had great power, he then changed his style completely as he could no longer punch with power without breaking his hands

before the lacy fight calzaghe taught he couldnt fight again due to how bad his hands were until his dad convinced him to do it

i think calzaghes natural size advantage might be the telling factor

combined with his high workrate and great chin he could well do a job on ggg

however its basically a 50-50 fight but due to calzaghes natural size advantage id make him the 65-35 favorite.

 

joe kicked lacys ass back to the Olympic tryouts.

lets bear no bones, lacy was middling except for that punch and he got exposed for it. GGG is better than lacy on all fronts.
