Maybe the judges prefer clean, effective punches to scrappy, ineffective bull-rushing, missing and rabbit punching?
Can't disagree Drew. I think the scores were a little wide, but not wildly outrageous. I will say this, it is nice to see the judges reward the more effective, precise puncher for a change as opposed to the workrate/activity that has been so prevalent the past few years.
That's what I thought I had cash on Brook winning and when I heard the last two scores I thought it was Porters. I saw the judges giving close rounds to Porter. British judges seem to score the fight closer to the American in big fights i've watched in years gone. I was a tad confused when they said "and NEW champion of the world"
Brook stood his ground away from home against a guy that was roided the **** up.Give the man his props.
is there any grown ups on this site that can give an honest assessment of the fight or is it just a bunch kids that are going to reduce it to "all he did was rabbit punch" or "all he did was hold", "my dad beat up your dad because your dad is a bum".
