At the moment Brook does not have a mandatory challenger but he should target Ionut Dan Ion who would be easiest at the top 15 currentnrankingsnplus he being second ranked he could get it mandated.

Other first fights could be Kevin Bizier who lost to the above in Canada. Bundu is another option for him.

I think he'll fight Bundu, easy to sell to the UK fans because Bundu is coming off wins over Purdy and Gavin and is a solid fighter, plus he's ranked like #3 with the IBF so he's in line for a shot anyway.

Plus I think Brook beats him in every department.

Bundu would be a nice one and a tough task but one he should win

If he fights Malignaggi it's another **** fight by team Brook. The guy is well past it and pretty much a full time commentator. Hatton beat him what, 7 years ago?!!!

I hope he doesn't start making weak defences just for the sake of it. Onwards and upwards, stay in the states and fight some decent names.

He should pay off Dan Ion and get Bundu in as his mandatory, get it out of the way in November/ December, will sell out a 20000 arena but also a big show can be made of it on Sky UK time. Get the casuals interested leading up to a Khan fight. Personally, I'm not interested in a Khan fight until he puts in a good performance against Guerrero, Alexander or Bradley, and I think that is necessary if they want to emmulate Froch Groves and sell out Wembley.

I'd quite like it to be Alexander, a biggish name but a challenge that I think Brook could overcome. Setting him up for a Wembley showdown with Queen Khan in May or June

Berto has lost three of his last four fights. No thanks, Eddie.

Exactly, he has. But is still kind of a name. Perfect for a comfortable home defense in a promoters eyes.

I would be astonished if it were Bradley!! That fight will probably never be made.

Ionut Dan Ion could be the fight he takes (the fact that he is the IBF's number 1 or 2 contender defies logic) ..or maybe Kell fights Kevin Bizier (the guy ionut beat on a SD last year).

Aside from Khan, Bundu would be the fans choice and I believe that Kell would beat Leonard. But since Khan could be fighting on the same evening, I doubt Bundu is the way Team Brook will go.

My personal guess is the number 8/9 ranked Antonin Decarie. He is durable (he has never been stopped) but his 28% KO ratio means there is little chance of him derailing the Kell Brook gravy train. And his 30-2 record, whilst impressive on paper, belies the fact that the two times he has fought decent opposition he has been comfortably beaten (plus Abregu dropped him, so he can be put over).

But seeing as Fast Eddie is the promoter, it is quite possible that some no-name is brought forth and put in as Kell's homecoming opponent!

You're right, Khan does need a good win at 147 to try and set up a fight with Mayweather as their abject attempt to circumvent all credible opposition at WW whilst trying to secure a mega payday with Floyd failed miserably!

    Good call

I never gave Andre a thought!!

If not Decarie, then maybe Berto.

I to believe that Kell beats Bundu relatively comfortably. But since Khan may be fighting on the same evening (against a relative no-hoper no doubt) Kell will want to win impressively (preferably quickly) and Bundu may not be the best man to secure such a victory against.

I thought about him, but he has a pretty high KO ratio. And the LAST thing anyone at Team Brook will want is to risk blowing some mega-fights by Kell getting KO'd in a voluntary that was designed for him to look good in.

    Another good call though!!
