2005 Tyson vs Peter McNeeley (prime)

I'm all for imagination but that's just nuts.

 

Tyson was obviously completely washed up when he lost to McBride. He even said himself after the fight that he didn't have the stomach for this stuff anymore and if he was going to lose to a second-rate fighter then he knew his career was all over.


You have to give some credit to McBride though. He was able to soak up Tyson's single shots without being taken out. However, if Tyson could have possibly even put together a decent combination at all McBride would have been out of there. Like I said before, this wasn't the real Tyson in there and it was the absolute best of McBride who despite having no talent, was a strong and brave fighter. Also, weighing about 270lbs. he was a huge man.


I don't think McNeely ever had a prime to speak of. Like McBride, he was brave but had even less talent than the Clones Colossus.


I think McBride beats McNeely though. Having a win over a beyond shopworn Tyson still eclipses anything McNeely did in his career.

 

Any version of Tyson weather it be the McBride rendition or the debuting one who beat Hector Mercedes would KO McNeeley.

 

I concur with the other posters. McNeely didn't have McBride's bulk which was how McBride was able to soak up Tyson's single shots in their fight.

McNeely is in the same bottom rungs as fighters like John Basil Jackson and Brian Yates. He made Tim Tomashek look like Vitaly Klitschko.

Tyson wins anytime.

 

I think any version of Tyson would get any version of Mcneely out of there.

Mcneeley vs Mcbride anyone?

Plus Mcbride was the largest guy Tyson had ever faced, he was a hug lump of **** who had to lean on Tyson to stop him.

Mcneeley was about the size of a fart.

 

All Mcbride did was survive Tyson's onslaught and Tyson's arse fell out, Tyson's power wasn't capable of getting him out of there.

 

He was 6'2", 224 Lbs. Not exactly a small man, especially for the standards of 20 years ago.

 

Yes. But Bruno, Mathis and even Seldon (yes:yep) would beat 2005 version of Tyson, who was beyond shot.

McNeely was by far the worst from that bunch.

 

I was surprised anyone would call McNeeley small also. He was not very good compared to world class fighters, thuugh was 37-1(!) when facing Tyson, so it shows what quality of competitio means.

But he was significantly larger than Tyson overall, a 19 1/2" neck too, wrist & ankle listed at 10" & 12" respectively means if even close to correct he had a massive bone structure. The 21" calves are as large as you will find outside of morbiidly obese people & the biggest bodybuilders.

The way contempt effects the accuracy of perceptions is startling.
Including to dimisnish the obvious size of someone.

mcbride was nothing but a bunch of fat. mcneley was a strong guy, a complete mentally ******ed guy but still a strong guy
