I was surprised the bout never took place. It was talked about but never did happen. It would have sold out in a day and I still don't understand why it was so hard to get names on the contract for it. And that patented herbie hide trash talking.

I like Hide early if the bout took place, when discussed. Youth. Those reflexes and snap on his shots. and Frank literally froze when hurt. He'd have been better off going down than trying to steady himself on the ropes when his legs went. And did his legs ever go when hit.

Risky fight for both guys and a ko within about 5 rounds, 1 way or another. I sure don't think Hide can absorb more than about 15 minutes from this guy.

Bruno was a superior fighter compared to the pathetic bum that was Hide.

Bruno won all but 2 of his fights by ko and one of those was Oliver Mcall.

Bruno was more durable than Hide as well. Bruno stood toe to toe with Tyson for 5 rounds and got up from a kd in the first round. If that was Hide against Tyson, he would not have made it out of the first round

    Hides getting a hiding

Is that the same bum who knocked out Tucker? A feat your hero couldn't manage.

Lewis dropped him too, Tinkerbell couldn't even hurt him. So much for Michelle Tyson's legendary punching power. Now get out of my thread will you. :hi:

To be fair, Lewis beat clearly past-prime drug addicted Tucker, 6 years after Tyson it was different Tucker.

Tucker in his prime had only 1 loss, by points vs prime Tyson.

Hide sure did get rid of Morrison conquerer Bentt, when most were backing Micheal in a fight seldom discussed.

Sure didn't know many picking Herbie to win that one. And he was actually in pretty good shape and fought about as disciplined a fight as he ever did. But I'm not sure if I can think of anyone at heavy who held their hands lower than Herbie Hide. I don't think he even raised them up properly at the fighter introductions.

Bruno was the better fighter of the two b Iut think Hide has a very good punches chance in this match up. Bruno as mentioned by many here didn't have a great chin or great survival instincts and I could see Hide getting through with a bomb likely early in the fight and finishing Bruno off. On the flip side I could see Bruno taking Hide out early and if the fight was to go the distance I'd expect Bruno to carry most of the rounds. Overall I would have to bet on Bruno but Hide would be a very live underdog in this match up.

That cruiserweight won a heavyweight world title and was an explosive, vicious knockout artist. Big Frank's size and bulk may actually be a hinderance to him in this match up.
