According to Golovkin's trainer, Golovkin is a star and Andre Ward should know that. Then why is he trying to piggy back off former 140 pound Cotto? Shouldn't he be headlining PPV fight against an opponent of his choice.
What has Golovkin done to deserve a short at Cotto?

    Cotto's drawing power > Golovkin's drawing power
    Golovkin's drawing power > Ward's drawing power

    Simple.

That's like asking why Pacquiao would be a B side against Mayweather and not an A-side against Demetrius Andrade.

nope its more like cotto praying on his knees that he never has to get in the ring with golovkin.what did cotto do to deserve a shot at Martinez? Its real simple you dimwit cotto has the wbc belt at middleweight him and ggg are seen as the number 1 and 2 fighters in the division so it makes sense that they would fight each other.

Given the state of the division and the schedules or willingness of those available, this is not a bad fight.

Are you guys for real right now?

Only time Cotto has ever taken a knee in a fight is when he was being plastered. So you're a complete moron for referring to that in ignorance of that fact as though that fight is legitimate.

Yeah. I give Cotto less than 10% chance against Rubio. Rubio hasnt lost a "fight" since prime Pavlik, who at MW would also have destroyed Cotto and since Pavlik has not lost a "match" other than Chavez Jr who like in Vera 1 had his name carry the day for him. Despite no testing and extremely ridiculous size advantage.

Rubio is also a better fighter now than he was against Pavlik. He has very good though not elite skills, punches probably 3rd or 4th hardest amongst top 160's and is not even slightly fragile. His stoppage in Pavlik fight was a towel, he could have continued his corner just did not see a point in taking more punishment.

Considering the Mexico-PR angle, combined with Rubio being his mandatory... if Cotto thought he could beat Rubio he would be fighting Rubio and not Lee. Beating Rubio at 160 would have both been bigger money, and a huge lead-in to May Canelo showdown among Latinos.

There is only one reason to choose Lee over a Mexican mandatory - Team Cotto was not confident of victory.

cause mr cotto is the A side. I'm sure he gets paid over a million dollars, or close to it every fight.

why can't we post pictures on this site anymore?
