If Martinez had beaten Cotto..?

    I'll admit. I won't buy a PPV of Lee vs Cotto but that sounds kinda ridiculous. I bet its only PPV in Puerto Rico :rofl Thats still pretty fd up but w/e. But seriously, everything you say about Cotto can be applied to Martinez but its worse because Martinez is a real middle. Cotto IS just a blown up jr MW or welter that took it from a less skilled/injured champ in Martinez. Cotto's middleweight champ status just adds more value to the Canelo v Cotto megafight but everyone knows Cotto isn't a real middle weight. It makes it that much more impressive that he was able to take the legit title.

    The middleweight division has been weak for years and thats the only reason Martinez has been able to reign so dominantly for years. Martinez was a fraud and had Cotto not beaten him senseless GGG would have battered him to retirement. :good :p :deal

    The people who are saying Martinez ducked GGG should be saying Golovkin is ducking Ward
    These guys want big money fights first then risks later its a business
    Martinez doesnt duck people hes fought everyone

    You are making too much sense for these " ArmChair Quarterbacks" and
    "FanBoys" !!!
    FYI....before the fight they openly voiced the fact that they contribute any loss from Sergio to his knees giving no credit whatsoever to Cotto.

    So, there is NOTHING you can say that will even cause them to pause for
    any thought!!!

    If its the case that he swindled the Boxing World then he should not be cleared for any FUTURE fights!!!
    However, that will not be the case.....once he whips up on his next opponent they will say he got the much needed rest!!!:patsch

    Yeah I bet if you put him with JCC jr TODAY, he'd still win a UD. Martinez has just been beating bad comp this whole time.

    have you been living under a rock lately?bradley and lee are the only names being reported in the media.I guarantee you he is fighting one of those two most likely lee.cotto doesn't want to fight rubio who is his mandatory either you know why because cotto doesn't like his chances against rubio.so cotto is ducking both ggg and rubio.

    I think he thought he had enough left to catch Cotto with something big early and KO him, Sergio has a hell of alot of pride and would never let himself think Cotto had a chance. He believed he could do it and then retire, but unfortunately it backfired on him.

    I agree Sergio thought he still had enough left to beat cotto.cotto was lucky to be at the right place at the right time everyone knows this.

    Not that lucky. Cotto could have moved up at any point and KO'd Martinez. The match up is not kind to Martinez nor is the gap in skill.

    Its funny you bring that up Martinez has been calling cotto out for years.whenever cotto was asked about fighting Martinez years ago cotto said the same thing that he is saying about ggg now that Martinez wasn't a draw and brought no money to the table.as soon as Martinez goes down with an injury to his knee all of a sudden cotto wants to fight him.thats all I need to know. let me guess you think cotto can ko ggg too right?:rofl
