Just rewatched Cotto vs. Margarito 2

It was similar to the first fight. However, Concreto's punches didn't have the plaster of paris effects anymore.

 

That fight is a prime example why Cotto shouldn't go near GGG.

 

Not really. Concreto was able to stun and hurt Cotto earlier in the first fight, I believe it was round 4 when it all started. He also busted Cotto up in round 7 and his punches clearly had more effect than in the rematch.

 

i really enjoyed this fight but never went back to rewatch it.. i remember cotto doing the dempsey roll at one point, **** looked incredible

 

It was becoming similar but remember Cotto's face was a mess in the first fight

In the second Cotto wasnt bleeding or anything

Margo was only allowed to fight with everlast pillows, if he'd worn reyes he's had finished Cotto.

 

He caught Cotto on the tip of the nose with an uppercut in round 2, this really troubled Cotto, he couldn't breathe properly, but it was the body shots that took the life out of Cotto, but it was that 2 round that was the prelim to his fall.

 

Do you really margo was still the same margo after pac rearranged his face and molecular structure, lol

 

Indeed, and the plaster of paris contributed to the impact of those punches. If you look at Concreto's history, he was never known to being a one punch puncher to do the damage he was able to do with single shots, that includes his body punches.

 

The fight was going the same the eye just gave them a reason to stop it

 

I agree I think Cotto would have been stopped again. He was tired and taking shots he had no answer to.

 

cotto as already stated he went to fu ck his eye right up and hurt him with it , he should be greatful to pacman for the damage limitation he left on margo for cotto to take advantage of
