I think that's in the make up of any sportsperson not just boxers that if they suffer a terrible injury you can get the people that can just get on with it afterwards and others that maybe need to see psychologists before they can move on. Some people never recover fully after a bad injury mentally and its only my opinion that it looks like Ricky should maybe go see a psychologist?

Do you think Ricky has recovered fully from that fight mate?

If Ricky produces what he does in the gym on fight night theres not a LWW in the UK to trouble him, hes sparred with top LWW and none gave him any trouble. so hopefully he gets a few wins and doors may open again for him

I only wanted your thoughts on with what you have seen since the Beltran fight if there was a change in his mentality, you worked very close with him for a number of years and you knowledge of him will be greater then anyone else that is involved with him now.

I think it will be interesting to see if they will manage to fix the problem or even if they will be that interested considering they have only started working with him recently and the fact there is so much other fighters in the gym.

Back on the original topic of Weight , Couple of things i find strange , Ricky and a nutrition company based in ess3x put out tweets about working together for his next outing and ricky replying he was hoping to make lightweight , then within a week an anouncement hes moving up to 140 , i take it they never tried to make lightweight then ........ Another thing i find strange ,Yes i can understand Ricky being hurt and upset after the Zlat fight and not wanting to talk etc but since that fight all talking regards weights etc has been done via Alex Morrisson or Eddie Hearn surley a guy of rickys stature should be coming out with his own comments as this imo makes him look a bit under the thumb.....

Is he actually moving up to 140 though? If so where is this announcement?

Eddie said he will fight in Leeds at a catchweight but that may be just a ticking over fight and then he'll come back down to LW.

I can see where you're both coming from but maybe Ricky is in the thought process of taking a back step from making any kind of announcements and sticking to concentrating on the boxing side of things to iron out any problems and mistakes?

You have a point mate but with the fan base that ricky has i know of near on a hundred lads already making plans to go to leeds for the fight on Oct 4th , it would be decent of him to let them know what weight he plans to campaign at at what kinda class of opponent were likely to see

Yeah I'm looking forward to hearing who the opponent is but I can't make the trip unfortunately so it'll be a night infront of the tv listening to Watt and Halling rambling can't wait! (sarcasm).

Firstly, if anything he showed great mental strength in the Carson jones fight to battle it through to the end with absolutely nothing left in the tank from round 6 onwards. Secondly, what has getting dropped got to do with mental strength, how many times has ricky been dropped? Does that show he has awful mental strength then?

If being dropped is the sign of mental strength, Amir is ****ed.
