When is Floyd Mayweather going to leave Vegas? Oh wait that would be ******ed because he's fighting were he makes the most money as any fighter would ******
Carl will make the move to America very soon where he will get a big Irish following. Golden Boy have signed a lot of Irish talent (Quigley, Nevin etc) but they need the superstar name to headline the shows, Frampton is that guy. I don't think Carl will have any trouble selling out any of the arenas out there on the east coast.
That might not be the foregone conclusion you think it is. Carl has never played the "Irish" card. He has never pulled on the "green jersey". Also - no disrespect to the guy, but he isnt very outgoing personality-wise. He has little following in the Republic, and probably no profile at all in USA. Also not too many lighter weight fighters sell out arenas on the east coast. Perhaps a big fight against LSC (using the Irish v Hispanic angle) might sell well in NY or Boston, but any other opponent? - I doubt it. Not without a lot of marketing effort pushing him first.
Are you so stupid you can't understand a fighter wanting to fight were he makes the most money? Ryan i actually think you might be a ****** your so ****ing clueless about boxing.
terry, u might have been boxing a while but a 140+ lber could probably turn you in let alone a 200lber, if your a lightweight or whatever you shouldnt be barking like a rottweiler.
I see that LSC and Quigg are still busily giving interviews and doing videos "challenging" frampton. Too bad that's all they are doing. When it comes to who they actually fight....
Carl had the opportunity to fight Quigg but chose to take on Kiko. Careful management from McGuigan. Hopefully after this mismatch Frampton is allowed to fight a live opponent.
In fairness Kiko holds a IBF world title, Quigg holds a portion of the WBA but Rigondeaux is the proper WBA champ.
Doesn't matter. The reality is none of them are deserving world champs as they wouldn't dare to face Rigo. Plus Quigg is a far tougher fight than Kiko.
Difficult when people like Carl keep ducking him. As we all know Eddie made an offer but the careful management of Carl meant they kept him away from Quigg. Shameful really. :-(
" Eddie made an offer" - you are getting funnier every day. Ha ha ha! (Would that be Eddies brilliant plan to stage a 2-fight "series" - first leg in Manchester! Money shared 50-50) What a laugh! Priceless. You couldnt make it up! dear oh dear. This is getting pitiful. Really you need to find something else to focus your OCD on, Solaris. Leave the Frampton threads to knowledgeable boxing fans please!
Do you think Carl will get more than 50/50? Boxes on a tiny channel and outside of Ireland has no fan base. Look at his Sky viewing figures, laughably poor. You live in cloud cuckoo land.
