Simple fact is right now the fight makes no sense to either fighter because: 1. Golovkin will only move up for a PPV fight 2. The only way for Froch to make the money he's looking for his a dual UK/US ppv fight. 3. HBO said this is not a PPV.
It's still the best fight on the cards for both men though (Barring JCC Jr who will fight neither of them) GGG doesn't have the fights a MW and Froch doesn't really at SMW either.
The sad truth of Frochs career is he will go out on his shield , be it next fight or in three fights time because he is a warrior.
I disagree with the comparison between unproven GGG and the Roy Jones who beat Toney! Ridiculous! He'd already beat Hopkins ffs! The eye test! Could you be more patronising maybe.....your eyes are seeing some wrecking machine who could step up and give Froch a 50/50, I find the notion pretty co¢k-eyed but you go ahead and enjoy yourself. Froch does actually punch back quite hard.....he isn't a floating, disembodied chin as you seem to suggest. As for GGG having the 'edge' in technical ability and power.......well.......just nah mate.:tired
Loeffler said they approached Frochs people before Rubio but Hearn has no interest at this point: http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/edd...-money-he-deserves-to-fight-gennady-golovkin/
The problem is what if Froch KO GGG in a few rounds?, Most of the fans on here will scatter to the wind and this career defining victory many speak of will become a KO vs an unproven smaller guy. So taking away legacy we have money and that's already been established as not being the most financially viable fight. If Froch takes this fight he is doing so purely because many people on the internet and media are taunting him by telling him he cannot win.
Im not sure what the drama is ladies. Carl has fought bigger punchers than GGG - Kessler , Groves. Better boxers Ward , Taylor. Stronger men - AA. He has seen everything GGG has and more. Also Carl will look massive compared to little G. Not a fight i want to see until G beats someone good.
