Is it possible to make top 3 p4p without having beaten a single p4p ranked fighter?

Yes, it is very possible to reach a certain level of an opinionated list.

After all, someone could list Provodnikov, Geale, and Frampton in their top 10 P4P at the moment and, well, there'd be no way to disprove them.

Darchinyan and Nishioka were both on the verge of being ranked or were ranked at the bottom end of some lists, but not the majority.

Montiel was a consensus P4P top 10 when Donaire destroyed him.

Been sayin this all along. No way should a guy have got to number 2 without having beaten anybody on the list. No prob giving him a spot on the list after he cleared division but what's he done since? Cry about how unfair goosen is cuz he wants to jump on the haymon express? Ward is garbage. His style is garbage. His whole persona is garbage. Son of god? Hey, Jesus...fight someone for Chri...your sake.

If we are only going by the last 2 years, then Pacquiao or Wladimir wouldn't be on the list either. Obviously, that is an absurd opinion.

Why wouldnt Pac be on the list? He made easy work of p4p #3 Bradley. Wlads also been active and routed #1 contender

Because if we are factoring in only the last 2 years, I could probably name 10 better resumes than Pac and Wladimir.

I doubt any of those guys have wins over p4p #3 like Pac. A few might have beat #1 contender, but none have been as consistently dominant as Wlad.

Not saying only the last 2 years count, but they count heavily.

there is no such thing as pound 4 pound, it's a myth perpetuated by fans and media

so of course it's possible because you can write your myths however you want

Sure, if you're a Golden Boy fighter Ring Magazine will give you any rank you need if you have a big fight lined up.

Yes because you may be in a division where you smash everyone to pieces but the level isnt that great.

Not anyones fault but thats how it is , Middle and Heavy are good examples.

P4P lists are completely subjective anyway, but which MWs or HWs either currently or in the past do you have in your top 3 P4P who didn't deserve to be there?

Surely you don't have Wlad or Golovkin in the top 3? I don't even think many of their most devoted fans even do.

I love the old 'the division is weak' argument to justify subjective bias, though. Just how does one go about proving that a particular division (or era for that matter - cos comparing modern fighters to old greats is just as subjective) is weaker than another?
