Guess you forgot he lost to Taylor TWICE dumb ass. Hopkins throws 1-2 punches a round and holds.

 

He would have lost to Ward, Dirrell and Taylor. Would have been close against Froch and Kessler. Even the Johnson fight would have been close but he would edge it. Also bear in mind that these fights were home and away so some of Bhops strategies will be harder to get away with.

Hmm i disagree. Both Froch and Kessler from the 2010 fight would be able to put a huge amount of pressure on Hopkins which is not what he prefers, they both threw a lot of punches in that fight and theu wouldn't be afraid to press forward since they both have great chins and Hopkins has lost his power. Also i think both Froch and Kessler are much more skilled than Pavlik plus they bring more size to the ring. Not saying they would've beaten him, but i think it would be close.

Styles Wise Dirrell would be a hard fight for Hopkins.. Athletic and can box real good

 

When was the last time you watched a Kessler fight? Froch said Kesslers bodyshots were killing him in the first fight, and he destroyed Maggee with straight rights to the body. That's one of the things he's been working on with Montoya. Hopkins likes to take breaks during the rounds but he won't be allowed to do that against Kessler who will keep coming forward. Hopkins wont be able to hurt Kessler at all. Ward anno 2009-2011 is much faster than Hopkins and better imo. You're right he isn't very good at adapting and that could be a problem if he starts out slow. How will Hopkins take away his jab? Cut of his arm or?
