These are the same people who will bang on about how overrated Golovkin is and he's just a hype job who hasn't beat anybody, but his first fight at 168 should be against the #2 p4p undisputed champ at the weight. Let this sink in. The #2 p4p undisputed SMW champion will "expose" an overrated hype job MW who hasn't beat anybody. This is their hero. They say Ward is the best fighter on the planet and that's what is needed to "expose" an overrated hype job MW who hasn't beat anybody. They think that is a compliment to Ward.:rofl
Pascal - Good fighter, clear win. Taylor - Good fighter, KO'd his ass when behind on the cards. Dirrell - Good fighter. Close fight that could have gone either way. Kessler - Lost a close fighter with one of the Elite of the division. No shame in that. Abraham - Ok fighter. Did what he was supposed to do by boxing his ears off. Johnson - I thought it was a pretty clear win. I may have to re-watch the fight. Ward - Lost to the best in the division. No shame. Plus, Froch finished the fight well. Bute - Ok fighter who was touted as elite. Froch has his soul in a jar. Mack - Poor fighter. Ko'd him, just like he was supposed to. Kessler - Good fighter (a little past it perhaps). Clear win for Froch Groves - Good fighter. Controversial stoppage but Froch was ripping him near the end. Groves 2 - Good fighter. A highlight reel KO. I should also mention that I fully expect Groves to become a World Champion at some stage and these wins will look much better. I may be wrong but I'm pretty confident. I personally think this is a great resume.
It's easy to pick apart any fighters resume when you narrow the scope of your data to only include facts that suit your opinion. Like talking about the last 3 opponents, or judging an opponents record only on their last 6 wins rather than taking a fighters whole record into account. Froch has built an excellent resume over the last 6 years. He hasn't always won but that's to be expected when you are constantly fighting top quality opposition. Since winning the title the only nondescript opponent he's faced is Yusaf Mack, you can't say that about every champion.
Okay then if that's true which I believe it not to be then does that make Ward overrated and him having a poor resume as froch is his best win? have a think about that!
I'm not thoroughly impressed with Froch's resume either, but I will say he's one of the few guys around that weightclass that's pretty much willing to fight ANYONE. SO i admire and respect him greatly for that. I thought he clearly lost to Andre Dirrell, in fact I thought Dirrell was so far ahead that there was no way he was going to get robbed in Nottingham. I also thought Froch was getting toyed with for the first 10 rounds in his fight with a well past his prime Jermain Taylor, but Froch showed that champion's heart of his and ended up KO'ing him in the 12th round. I also am not too impressed with his 1-1 record against another past his prime fighter in Mikkel Kessler. But I was thoroughly impressed with his dismantling of Bute, who he exposed big time in their match. there were some red flags surrounding Bute before that fight though, specifically the fact he never really took on top tier competition up to that point and the fact he almost got knocked out by a very mediocre Andrade. Froch in my eyes is one of the best SMW fighters for his era. But that's not saying much since the SMW division has always been considered historically one of the weakest divisions in boxing. He'll always be in that 2nd tier of SMW champs for this era since Ward has had a stranglehold on the division for so long. But I have no problem if he finds his way into the HOF, there are other guys in the Hall that are less deserving than him.
He came roaring out with nonsense, ran out of steam, so repeated the same things again Painful reading:?

And Froch will still be remembered as the greater fighter with the better resume just like Calzaghe schools Hopkins 99 times out of 100 but Hopkins is the greater fighter .
