maidana made a big deal about the gloves during the leadup but were willing to take 1.5m to wear their non prefered gloves which basically PROVES that they knew they could not beat floyd. its simple, if he thought the gloves were the deciding factor in a possible win vs floyd then he would have told floyd to stick his 1.5 where the sun dont shine, the commision had 2 pairs of mx everlast gloves THE FIRST FAILED.. they were tampered with, however a pair of the same everlast mx gloves some how passed? and maidana would be allowed to wear, floyd could **** and moan all he wants but if he were to call off the fight a day before then he would have copped massive fines and backlash (rightfully so)

maidana knew they did not have the skills to beat floyd which is why they resorted to fighting dirty even before stepping into the ring by tampering gloves

When Colin Jones boxed Henrik Hans in an eliminator for the WBC welterweight title back in 82 they wore 6 oz gloves.
