I would say Korobov has more prestige than Jacobs. Jacobs has more name value and marketability in the U.S. though, no doubt. Korobov is the better of the two in the ring though.

I talked to @OscarDeLaHoya today. He said @KIDCHOCOLATE most likely will fight @DanielJacobsTKO in the fall at @barclayscenter. #boxing

    danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Asked @OscarDeLaHoya if @KIDCHOCOLATE could more than $1.4M for @DanielJacobsTKO fight. Would @SHOsports pay more than $3M for fight?

The answer @OscarDeLaHoya gave me: 'We can always ask for it.' #boxing

    He couldn't easily beat Korobov.

The way I see it Korobov and Jacobs both beat him anyways.

I don't even know who mvc is.

My position is that when a fighter say he is giving up the belt to pursue bigger fights, it is a good thing. I am not too bothered whether you judge me to be inept, with you just being a random username.

Hard to say, Korobov looks good but who has he really beaten?

If Quillan did manage to beat him what would the victory really be worth? People love throwing the name euro bum around and that would likely be the case.

I think he's trying to make a Jacobs fight and if that is the case I approve of his decision .

If there were actually bigger fights on the table to pursue, then I think most would agree with you. Since Quillin isnt even a headliner, his only ticket to genuinely "big" fights was his WBO strap though.

Unlike the WBO, the IBF will recognize the WBA "regular" title for unification. So Haymon plan is probably to match Jacobs/Quillin winner with Taylor/Soliman winner and create a WBA/IBF Unified champ.

I will laugh pretty hard if Soliman pulls it out and escapes his dalliance with Haymon with his belt intact.

It goes without saying that if Sam Soliman beats Taylor, he's going to be sitting pretty, and it's got nothing to do with the shred of name value Jermain's got left these days. There's going to be a serious bidding war to get him in the ring because both HBO and Haymon want that title on one of their fighters. And, just as importantly, they don't want multiple titles in the other's stable.

Al can't risk being left in the cold with only the 2nd rate version of the WBA title in his stable. GGG knows that an extra title is crucial if he's going to lure Cotto (or Alvarez) into a megafight, and he'll take shorter money to make it happen.

All it boils down to is, Soliman is gonna get PAID if he gets past Jermain.

That might be a more impressive feat than Geale winning 2 belts on the score cards in Germany.

If Showtime pay $3 million for this fight, they're the dumbest network I have ever seen. I hope they're not that dumb; they've been losing money all year long and I doubt they can afford it.

All the idiots making excuse are the same idiots defending Stevenson for ducking Kovalev. There's something bigger behind the scenes, blah, blah, blah, blah. No, there isn't. If you think there is, you're dumb and haven't graduated high school.

When you act like a loser, you're going to be a loser. Quillin thinks and acts like a loser and this is going to bite him in the ass like what happened to Stevenson.
