This is a far superior match up to the much hyped Mayweather-Maidana rematch next weekend.... casuals just have no clue what they really are being sold.

Tonight is a genuine world title scrap and I just have a feeling for Kiko late if he can hold on from the early barrages from CF. They both look in perfect condition, and there is every chance one or the other is sparked out cold very early.

Just hope we get the full 12, as it will descend into a proper war. Cannot wait for this one.

Wide points decision for Frampton. I don't think Kiko has improved enough to outbox him and I don't see Frampton getting knocked out.

I have been a long time supporter of Frampton, but I just put £20 quid on a Martinez win for the following reasons -

1.) I've been impressed with Martinez ever since the Frampton loss. He has upped his game considerably, fought good fighters and overwhelmed them with work rate and desire

2.) Martinez is chomping at the bit to get at Frampton. He's also in great shape.

3.) Frampton's last two fights have been handy affairs - Cazares especially. Cazares balls'ed up the count when he was on the floor because, to me, he didn't want any of it. He lay down. Will this count against Frampton? He's is in tidy nick physically, but it would've been good if he'd been in some nip and tuck competitive rounds before this rematch with Martinez. He's had loads of sparring, undoubtedly, but that's not the same as having to dig deep in a competitive fight

4.) I wouldn't say Frampton is complacent but I reckon he's feeling the pressure a bit, as evidenced by yesterday's weigh-in. At the face-off he was sticking his head in and doing the manly stuff, which is a sign of nerves/tension. Martinez on the other hand has kept a lid on his emotions. He knows what he needs to do.

All the pressure imo, then, is on Carl Frampton. He's in front of all his fans. I don't envisage a Bernard Dunne-nightmare but I fancy Kiko on points

I think Frampton looked spooked and I reckon Kiko might stop him. Hope not though.

It is not often in boxing an opponent who is stopped/knocked out defeats their foe in a rematch. Martinez is dangerous and hungry to defeat Frampton, however I am expecting The Jackal to pull it out the bag again. Somewhere between 6 and 9 rounds.

I agree with R-Duran that this is a far superior match to May-Maidana, very finely balanced.

I think Martinez may last 12 and put up a better showing than last time but I get the feeling the Jackal has too much power for him....controversial I know.

I've always thought Frampton was a natural talent and really think he can push on from this although I'm not 100% we haven't already seen the best of him. Hope he proves my doubt misplaced.
