Reality is that Quigg won't fight on BN. It'll be Sky only. The fight has the potential to make a lot of money, but it won't be so that Carl gets the lions share.
If Frampton / Quigg does happen I'd want Quigg to win purely to prove all the negativity about Quigg to be wrong. I really dislike negatvity towards fighters especially ones that are actually top level fighters.
Frampton is the bigger name, bigger draw and holds a legit version of the world title... he's more entitled to the bigger split. I just hope what ever has to happen financially, happens. This fight has to be made.
If Quigg is really serious about fighting Carl, that is the thing to do. Beat Kiko more decisively than Carl did..and bingo Quiggs got his credibility back! Of course Scott may not have to go via Kiko, if Carl can get around the Avalos defence, he may make his first defence against Quigg before Xmas. I wouldn't be too confident Scott would beat Kiko, never mind more decisively than Carl did.
this is probably a silly comment from me...but just an afterthought. i know in modern boxing ppv is where the big money is generated....but...could frampton be the man to bring boxing back to terrestrial tv ?....if the nothern ireland government funded a lot of saturday night...would they go again and this time fund a bbc broadcast with the view of promoting belfast ??
Does that work though? Frampton has previously stopped him & also put on a class act of boxing - he's done it both ways. Kiko is a tough ****er, I can't see Quigg blowing him away by any means.
Anybody saying Frampton isn't British should go to his home area of Tigers Bay and try telling his friends and family that.
be kinda funny if frampton and rigo did fight....both called the jackel....dunno when two opponents had the same nickname before.....be a good trivia question that
