Knockouts that didn't count, for whatever reason.

Get a look at Kirk Johnson - John Ruiz.
All through the fight every time Johnson landed a body shot Ruiz screamed foul. Joe Cortez immediately warned Johnson. Ruiz was getting the crap beat out of him & his acting claiming low blows was Oscar worthy. He also delivered the most blatant of headbutts to Johnson totally ignored by Cortez. When Johnson dropped Ruiz for the KO he was screaming low blow. Joe Cortez obediently DQ'd Johnson.
Both Cortez & Johnson should have been banned from boxing it was criminal

Good thread. Kayos that can (or should) be found on highlights reels but not official records. :think

    Huck vs. Larghetti was madness.

Everyone in the venue acted like Huck just kayoed him.

Then it was all "now we are reading the scorecards"...and there was this weird vibe of everybody - including the commentators, and Huck and his team - playing it like they knew the whole time it had 'gone the distance'.

it was quite surreal, and would have been even weirder if Larghetti (If I ever open a restaurant that's what I would call my oversized portion of spaghetti) would have gotten the nod from the judges.

Oleydong Vs Porpramook II is a debatable one in round 6. Oleydong was down early in the round, then again later. Porpramook's team swamp the ring thinking their man has got the KO....then about 40 seconds later the bout goes on.

In the end the bout was a draw with people feeling Porpramook got shafted twice.

Against Tomas Rojas ? I sa that fight the thing I remember is that the stoppage in favor of Arce was maybe a bit premature.

    Fair example.

Nah, let's not go rewriting history.

    My thoughts on that one:

That slope is too slippery; if we're getting into subjective hair-splitters like that we'll soon have people nominating Douglas being knocked out by Tyson. :!:

Sergio Martinez vs Kermit Cintron, Cintron gets hit with straight left, get counted out. Then persuades the ref it was a headbutt and the fight carries on.
