    How about dancing??

Can an intense form of dance (hip hop???) substitute for roadwork?

I am not a fan of long distance running on a daily basis due to stress on my knee's and shins thanks to my line of work over the years...

I can handle running if it is not too frequent though. Just not over extending myself doing it (same with skipping rope)

    Thanks!! :)

Believe it or not, I know a number of boxers that have used a combination of Hip Hop dancing and wall-sits to improve conditioning. Do it bro!

    Thank you Speechless.

I will take your advice and take up dancing (most likely hip hop) to compliment my running and circuit training workouts.

In the long run I might just take up dancing for the fun of it too..

Lol i like your sense of humor.

In regards to dancing though... I wonder if the footwork would mess up or confuse your boxing footwork..

That is why I have been a a bit hesitant in taking up Salsa or Hip Hop and stuff.

Dancing sure gets the ladies attention though lol.. My Brother is into Salsa and gets a new "GF" every couple months haha. :blurp

Ive learned, you dont run to get fit, you get fit to run. Also Ive found a great way as an alternative, dont let whats underneath you move you, you move it :D.

Evander Holyfield was into dancing he claimed that it helped with the pendulum myself am not into the pendulum but personally I think just doing the pendulum is the same as doing long runs. Cardio just try fighting off the back foot:tong
