Is this a scientific assessment, or is this another boxing-fan-medical-science that you see from time to time on here. Like how every other poster was some kind of PED expert for a while...

Molina is a power puncher. He caught Matthysse with a flash knockdown, which Matthysse not only got up from, but got up and won the fight.

Maidana. He gave a tough fight to P1P Floyd Mayweather.


While Matthysse lost clearly to Danny Garcia.

 

Maidana gave a tough fight to Floyd yet lost almost every roud to Alexander, styles make fights.

 

Maidana's power is over-rated. He couldn't even finish a damaged Amir Khan despite battering him from ring post to ring post. There are also stamina issues, Maidana slows as fights progress and his punches lack pop whilst Matthysse seems to improve as the rounds go on and he warms up.

 

Maidana lost at least two thirds of the rounds against Mayweather. Hitting the air doesn't score points, no matter how aggressive you might look in doing it.

After lucas danny fought herrera then rod motherfunkin salka
after lucas peterson fought dierry jean and some light punching spanish car mechanic
After Maidana broner fights molina then taylor
not throwing shade on the above fighters but they took soft touches after hard punching fights. Lucas don't play that.

ask Josesito who didn't get hurt vs Ortiz who punches hard as ****, but against maidana got his brains sent to the bushes, and josesito is a tough cat

 

Are you kidding me ******? How many Matthysse fights have you watched?
He walked through clean bombs in almost every fight without going down. Maidana has been down 10x as much as Lucas from head and body shots

These 2 are my current fighters but Lucas is definitely more durable and would KO Maidana

 

Pre Garcia fight Matthyse vs Post Alexander fight Maidana.... Matthyse wins. Currently though.... Maidana has an edge, especially at WW.

 

The problem with this thread is floyd fans hate Matthysse and want to talk up floyds win over maidana so the inevitable result is idiots claiming that maidana brutally KO's Matthysse early

I'd take Matthysse by decision in a war, maidana would start to tire and Lucas would sweep the 2nd half of the fight IMO.

 

yeah i think mattesyse is the better fighter be a good close fight though

 

That'd be an exciting fight, hard to pick a winner. Need to see Matthysse at 147.
